Custom Rubber Hose and Sleeves to Meet Your Specifications
When off-the-shelf rubber hose and sleeves will not meet the requirements of your project, you need a manufacturer with extensive experience in producing custom rubber hose products for a wide range of industries.
Aero Rubber Company®, Inc. specializes in manufacturing mandrel-made hose and sleeves. Unreinforced mandrel-made tubes are highly flexible with the ability to bend and stretch for easy installation. Custom mandrel-made hose have cloth insertion that makes the hose walls rigid and adds strength.
Types of Hose Offered
Our hoses and sleeves are available in various shapes, including:
Angular hoses, which are similar to angled sleeves
Conical sleeves that connect round and rectangular parts together
Reduced / Tapered Hoses, used for connecting two different sizes
Connector sleeves: straight or tapered to offer strength / support when for the connection points
Silicone Hump Hoses that utilize multiple ply reinforcement for strength and higher temperature resistance
Straight sleeves for connecting parts or creating a protective cover
Peristaltic pump hoses, utilizing the flexibility of the hose, relief to pump a range of fluids / chemicals
Materials
Choosing the appropriate rubber material increases the life and optimal performance of rubber hose and sleeves. We work with the following rubber materials to create reliable, high-performance products:
Gum rubber has high tensile strength and elongation, excellent tear and abrasion resistance, and remains flexible at low temperatures.
Synthetic Polyisoprene
Synthetic Polyisoprene is a strong, non-latex alternative to natural rubber. It has excellent tensile strength, tear and abrasion resistance and eliminates the concerns for Latex Protein allergies.
FKM / Viton™
Viton is trade name for (Chemours) / FKM (fluoroelastomer). FKM has excellent resistance to ozone, ultraviolet, fuel, greases and oil, and solvent damage. It can also operate reliably in temperatures up to 400°F.
Silicone
Silicone offers an extremely wide working temperature range, performing consistently in higher temperatures up to 450°F. Special compounds can offer higher (and lower temperature resistance). Silicone resists UV and ozone-related damage and can have a long lifespan in the right conditions. Silicone rubber sleeves can be produced with a high purity level, making it a popular material for medical, pharmaceutical, and food processing applications.
Ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer (EPDM)
EPDM has a relatively wide temperature range, from approximately -60°F to 250°F and boasts superior resistances to ozone and ultraviolet radiation exposure. These attributes make EPDM ideal for outdoor applications. It’s also resistant to tearing and abrasion, steam, and some acids.
Butyl
Featuring a wide temperature range from -60°F to 250° butyl can be used for a wide range of outdoor applications. It offers excellent resistance to ozone and ultraviolet radiation and can handle significant pressure.
Neoprene
Neoprene is a general purpose non-latex elastomer. Offering very good resistance to petroleum based oils, it is also resistant to environmental and physical damage.
Nitrile Rubber
Nitrile rubber, also known as Buna N—has excellent resistance to chemicals and can withstand exposure to greases and oils, solvents, and fuels. The material also features good abrasion and tear resistance.
SBR
Styrene-butadiene rubber—also known as Buna S—is extremely abrasion resistant. The material can also resist weathering, tearing, ozone, and UV. Its tensile strength is rated as good to fair.
Hydrogenated Nitrile Butadiene Rubber
HNBR offers many of the same characteristics as NBR. It resists damage from fuel, grease and oil, and tearing. It also has excellent tensile strength. Because it offers a higher heat resistance, from -20°F to 330°F compared to NBR, it is often preferred for automotive applications.
CSM / Hypalon®
Hypalon is a chlorosulfonated polyethylene resistant to UV radiation and ozone damage, making it ideal for outdoor applications. It is frequently used as a coating for hoses and marine products.
Aero Rubber serves a wide range of industries with an extensive selection of hoses and sleeves. Some of the most common applications for our products include:
Medical equipment, such as peristaltic pump tubing
Mining equipment and systems
Military and aerospace applications
Water purification systems
